Bjorn Turmann

About the workshop presenter:

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Bjorn Turmann has lived in Asia for over 15 years. He’s the author of the two critically acclaimed novels, Good Daughter (Equinox 2005) and The Karaoke World of Cortous Haire (Konstrukt Books 2006). His third novel will be released in late 08.

Bjorn is also an accomplished filmmaker and his work has been screened at festivals in Asia and Australia as well as on the Internet. Previous to pursuing his creative goals, Bjorn worked for some of the world’s largest corporations in a variety of business development and marketing roles including: Microsoft, McAfee, Nokia and Blockbuster. He was once “absolutely terrified of public speaking” but through a number of methods discovered on his own and with a bit of coaching he managed to transform himself into a memorable, engaging speaker who has presented to audiences large and small in over 20 countries worldwide.
